Bébé giraffe / baby girafe
Avant notre grand voyage en France et Grèce, nous avons eu le plaisir d'accueillir notre amie du Japon, Yoshimi! Nous sommes allés au zoo et avons vue le nouveau bébé giraffe, elle avait je pense moins d'un mois. Très mignone! Before our big trip to France and Greece, we had the plaisure to welcome our friend from Japan, Yoshimi! We went to the zoo and saw the new baby girafe, it was not even a month old. Very cute!

Dans ce parc à Nice il y a un enclos avec des biches, lapins et poules... In this park in Nice, there is inclosure with goats, rabbits and chickens...
Et voici la maman de Denise, mon amie de longue date, née un jour avant moi.... Sandrine! Il manque le papa David! Here is Denise's mom, my long time friend born 1 day before me.... Sandrine! Daddy David is missing!
Santorin, Grèce
Et pour finir notre voyage en Grèce, la belle île de Santorin, île volcanique. Le cratère est situé au bas des falaises dans l'eau! Ce jour là, il ne faisait pas très beau, ce qui était un peu dommage car les photos auraient été encore plus magnifiques! For the end our trip to Greece, the beautiful island of Santorini, volcanic island. The crater is at the bottom of the cliff in the water! That day wasn't sunny, too bad because the pictures would have been even more beautiful!
Au haut des falaises, ce n'est pas de la neige, ce sont les villages! At the top of the cliff, it is not snow, the white spots are the houses!

Ce que nous avons remarqué est que d'en bas, ça ne nous paraissait pas si beau que ça et que toutes les maisons étaient blanches! D'en haut c'était magnifique et coloré! What we noticed is that from the bottom, it didn't look very nice and that every house was white! On the top, it was wonderful and colorful too!
Nous avions le choix entre le téléphérique, les ânes (qui vous parfumaient!) ou la marche pour redescendre... Comme Jeff aime le téléphérique du zoo de San Diego et que Jayden est lourd sur les épaules, nous avons opté pour le téléphérique! Descente impressionnante et abrute! We had to choose between the cable car, the donkeys (which odorized you!) or walking to go down... As Jeff loves the cable car in San Diego zoo and as Jayden is heavy on the shoulders, we opted for the cable car! The way down was impressive and almost at 90° 
Les 2 petits coeurs bien fatigués de leur voyage! Our 2 sweet-hearts very tired of their trip!

Héraklion, Crète, Grèce
À Héraklion, nous avons visité le Palais de Knosos. Il a été construit vers 1900 avant JC, détruit par un tremblement de terre et reconstruit vers 1700 avant JC. L'anglais Arthur Evans très riche a excavé le Palace entre 1900 et 1929 et ça a été tellement coûteux que le gouvernement anglais a dû payer pour son enterrement! In Iraklion, we visited the Palace of Knosos. It was built around 1900 BC, destroyed by an earthquake and rebuilt around 1700 BC. The very rich English Arthur Evans excavated the Palace between 1900 and 1929 and it was so expensive that the English gouvernment had to pay for his burial!
Jares immenses qui servaient à entreposer des provisions. Huge jars used to store supplies.

Comment le Palais était.... Il contenait plus de 1000 chambres, avait un système de drainage avec des chasses aux WC et les rues étaient pavées... La mythologie dit que la reine serait tombée amoureuse d'un taureau et qu'elle fut naître un monstre mi-taureau mi-humain. Le roi en ayant honte l'aurait caché dans un labyrinthe souterrain sous le Palais! Notre guide croyant à la mythologie attend le jour où ils trouveront le labyrinthe! How the Palace was... It contained over 1000 rooms, had a drainage system, flushing toilets and paved roads... The mythologie says the queen fell in love with a bull and gave birth to a half-man half-bull. The king ashamed of it would have hidden the beast in a underground labyrinth underneath the Palace! Our guide believing to the mythology is waiting for the day they find the labyrinth!
