Palais des Grands Maîtres. Il a survécu les tremblements de terre et attaques mais a été explosé accidentellement en 1856. Il a été restauré par les italiens dans les années 1930. Palace of the Grand Masters. It survived earthquake and siege but was blown up by an accidental explosion in 1856. It was restored by the Italians in the 1930s.

Une statue immense de 32 à 40m avait été construite en 305 avant JC pour célébrer la victoire des Rhodians contre le macédonien Demetrius, ça a pris 12 ans à la construire et a couté 9 tonnes d'argent. En 227 avant JC, un tremblement de terre l'a détruite! Elle est imaginée être au port mais elle était probablement au Palais. Ça devait être impressionnant à voir! A 105-130 ft statue was built in 305 BC to celebrate Rhodian victory over the Macedonian Demetrius. It took 12 years to build and cost 9 tons of silver. It's pictured straddling the harbour but it stood probably at the Palace. In 227 BC, an earthquake destroyed it. It should have been amazing to see!
